GP100 and Picatinny rail

Has anyone out there put a low-profile Weaver/Picatinny rail on a GP100? I would like one that, when nothing is mounted on it, will not interfere with the ordinary sights. But it would be great to hang a Red-Dot sight on my GP100. Has anyone out there done that?
