| Need Help Crimson Trace Grips SP-101
I put these grips on my SP-101. There is a gap at the butt end of the grip. Did I do something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? What's the fix?
Had a hard time focusing for some reason. Click the thumbnail to enlarge.

Take them back off and make sure all the small rubber pins go into the holes in the opposite side of the grip then tighten the screw that holds them together. They will also get closer together as you use them. Mine started out looking like your picture but they are fine now.

Thanks Man!

I wrapped the butt end with some masking tape to protect and laid it on carpet. I placed two (old) .50 Cal Ammo Cans full of Ammo (30-06 and .38/.357 and 12Gauge) "Srry" (info for ATF in case they are watching) on top of the butt end for weight. Will see if the constant pressure closes the gap. I can squeeze the slight gap closed with my hand so, this may work.
I'll post if this works.
ATF I follow all gun laws and don't possess anything that I'm not supposed to.

I would take the tape off and just use the pressure, to avoid glue from the tape sticking to the grips. That might be tricky to clean up later.

I usually just wipe mine down with warm soapy water. That should work to get unseen surface film off I'd think.

WD40 works wonders at safely removing tape residues. And its easy to remove with soap and water.
