Got a new Tactical Mini 14 last year, don't much like the small aperature on rear sight that came with it.
XS makes a rear sight set of ghost rings that they will sell only the rears on for $60, but I am thinking of taking it off the gun and sticking in my drill press and opening her up a bit. Any thoughts?......................
Also looking at possibly mounting my EO Tech on it too for S&Gs, but I'd come up with a good, CHEAP way to try it first. Scout rails are pricey, and I'm not to keen on those ones that just clamp / bolt to the sight mounts above the ejection port area - the look to flimsy and could come off vs a true bolt on rail set, or again scout rail set on the fore end.
Help? I prefer to go the open sight way first and get that square away rather than dump $$ into the EO Tech setup for now.
