Ruger NO. 3 Scope Mounts

Finally got my Ruger NO. 3 bore sighted in. Took about four hours to figure out the furnished Ruger Mounts (rear) needed to be changed end for end. Way was on rifle I could not get enough shims in to bring it back close to center. Too use shim adjustment only scope clear up against left mounting position. Finally reversed scope to center turned rear mount back to front and it dropped right in center. I can't believe the scope mount was that far off. Picked up 40" of adjustment. I'm sure someone else has ran into this so check the rear mount before you have to buy some adjustable rings.
