Tula Brass Maxx?

Maybe I am a little behind in the times but I am just now hearing of this Brass Maxx stuff from Tulammo. Basically it is brass cased ammo sold by Tulammo made in Italy and sold at Wally World. I have heard it is made by Fiocci but I am not sure if that is accurate. Anyway, supposedly 223 rounds are about $17 for 50 which is not much more than the steel Tulammo. If anyone knows more about this I am interested to hear. Maybe I missed a post on this but I did search for it.

I just got back from Wally and saw the same thing. One box of 380 Brass Maxx 50 rounds for $15. Not a great deal if you ask me, but from the sounds of it the 223 is a pretty good deal. Not sure what the 9mm and 45ACP sell for, but would be interested to see...

I know this is an old thread, but I was hoping to get some info. I was in my local WM last night & noticed they have started stocking Tula brass maxx. I have always avoided Tulammo because of the steel casings, but always heard it was otherwise reliable. I picked up a 100 round box of 9mm for $23. I noticed it was made in Bosnia/Herzegovina instead of Italy like some other calibers of brass maxx. I haven't tried it yet & wanted to hear about experiences from other users of brass maxx? It looks like pretty hot ammo with a rating of over 1,300 fps. Is it worth going back & buying more or should I hold out for some Federal? Tula's only a couple dollars cheaper, but it's what's available right now.

I've fired about 300+/- rounds of brass maxx 9mm through my glock, not an issue - seems a bit cleaner than their steel cased ammo as well.

I have used the Tulammo BrassMaxx made in Bosnia/Herzegovina and in Italy in my SR9C, Beretta PX4 Storm, Beretta 92F, Glock 26, and Sig P938. It worked well and seems to burn cleaner that WWB, accuracy was very good, no FTE/FTFs, etc. I would buy it in .40, .45, and 7.62x39 if it were available at my local Walmart.

I bought some of these a while ago in 9mm at Wally World. My LC9 fed them with no issues and same with my new LC9s Pro.

A few months back, I started seeing them in the 100 round value packs at my local Wally World. $23.97 plus tax for 100 rounds, can't be beat right now.

Anyway, I just so happen to look at the 100 round pack and it says made in Bosnia as where the 50 round box says made in Italy. Anyone know if there's actually a difference? I assumed if it was coming out of Italy, then there was a strong chance it was being made by Fiocchi.

Also, I took a box of 50 to the range last Sunday and the Range Officer stopped me and asked if he could check for any steel in the bullet even though it's brass cased because they've never seen Tul having Brass ammo and apparently Tul has been cheaping out on their steel cased ammo and putting steel in the bullets as well. At least that's what he told me...

I stumbled on this thread after searching for some answers about the ammo itself. Yesterday the wife and i went out to the range. I have an SR9, she has a SR9c. we both fired mag after mag of the Winchester 9mm that you can pick up at walmart for 23 bucks per box of 100. then i switched us over to the tulammo brass maxx to see how it would do. through my sr9 there seemed to be no issues whatsoever. totally different story for the sr9c. first two rounds went fine. the third failed to go into battery and i had a hell of a time racking the slide to clear that round. once it was out, we chambered the next and it fired but the following round again, failed to chamber all the way and that round i was not able to clear. i am going to mess with it a little more but will more than likely end up taking it to a gunsmith. I have tried the place on corner of table and give solid pressure to the frame so as to force the slide open but with no success. This thread is about the ammo, so take my experience with a grain of salt but i will not shoot this anymore. And if anyone has any input on how to get this cleared up, please let me know. i am open to suggestion.
