I'd really like a Ruger American in 7mm-08. Soft shooting extremely accurate round with a very good ballistic coefficient (BC) at terminal target at far distances. Flat trajectory 7mm round with low recoil.
What do you think? Will Ruger offer more calibers in this already great selling new model?
Sincethe model is doing so well,Why not go with all the chambering offered in the Hawkeye .
I would like to see the RCM rounds offered , then too a 22/250 would float the boat as well.
Happy
+1 on the 7mm-08. I have a Weatherby Vanguard in that caliber. It is a sweet shooter but heavy and not fun to tote all day long. It will for sale as soon as Ruger makes the American in 7mm-08.
why, what for? 270, 308, 30-06 inadequate.... ammo is everywhere vs the 'eotic' ammo. i have never seen 7-08 (prolly cause i have no need for either of these calibers) in the small, shops, in the small towns where i go Deer,, Antelope, Elk hunting, during the last 20 years!
UMMMMM, because some of us want something different..... And the .25-06 and 7mm-08 are very popular, I can get ammo for both of them in any store that carries ammo, even Wal-Mart.
New standard American models just announced, 7mm-08 and 22-250.
Also new compact models with 18" barrels and 12.5" LoP in .243 and 7mm-08.
Guess the OP got his wish, and so did I. I wanted one in 22-250.
I expect they will be. My American in .308 is a great shooter.
