Sp101 grip, main spring - moving back

I have gone through three grips on My Sp101: factory, Hogue’s and Butler Creek boot grip. My final selection (up until now) was the boot grip since it felt better in my hand than the factory one, and concealed better than Hogue's. The grip worked great for just 38spl and 38spl+P loads for my target practice. That was true until last Monday when I finally got to shoot some 357mag. rounds. They were Grizzly’s 180gr loads. Holy %^$#! After only 5 rounds I was done; my middle finger's knuckle painfully throbbing from being bashed by the trigger guard. Yesterday I went back to Hogue’s which has some rubber where the middle finger meets the frame. The grip sticks out a little more and may print more under light clothes, but it may be worth the risk. We all know how very important it is to have your middle finger fully functional:)

Also, when I had the grip off, I decided to retreat on my main spring as well. A while ago I replaced it with 10# from Wolff’s, but was having these nagging thoughts that maybe it was too light. This is my "woods" gun (hence the 357mag loads) and I don't ever want to have a light strike. I've never had one in 1200 rounds so far, but still: nag, nag, nag... So I upped the main spring, not all the way back to the factory weight, but to 12#. Interestingly enough, I didn't feel that the trigger got heavier. Of course it’s subjective, and without a trigger gauge I cannot tell for sure.
