Hello fellow gun enthusiasts! I am new to the forum and am an avid shooter and concealed carrier. I am wondering when Ruger is moving it's operations to NC and if so, will they be hiring and for what positions? I have been working in Human Resources for the past 5 years and would love an opportunity to work for my favorite firearms manufacturer. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Last I heard, they were adding another unit in NC. I'm not sure they've ever reached full aggreement on placing the facility. Might be good to look at their website for the latest news on that subject, for both you and me!

UPDATE: The location for the new plant is in MAYODAN, NC. in Rockingham County. It looks to be about ten minutes from VA border, north of Winston-Salem. Should be a great location... I love small towns in the South... and 2,500 population IS small. My only regret is that they didn't find a spot in TX for another plant! BTW, did you see that our Gov. Perry hit Maryland this week whooing Beretta to the Lone Star State... and did you hear their governor squealing like a pig under a fence? Might be a new thread there...

Chris ... Welcome from SW Ohio ... Glad to have you aboard!

Note that since RF.Net is not affiliated to Ruger in any way, we have no inside scoop on their future plans.
