Don't feel bad about the Glocks...the wife and I live on the dark side a little bit too! We both have Gen II Glocks, which we found and purchased NIB in 2010!!! Her's is a G-19 in 9mm and mine is a G-23 in .40 S&W! The Gen II frames are fantastic...I prefer them over the Gen III's and Gen IV's! Neither of us concern ourselves over lights or anything else that attaches to the front of the gun other than night sights...so not having the frame rails is not an issue with us!

Welcome aboard neighbor. It is OK to own guns from several manufacturers. I have Rugers, Glocks, and a few others.

Morning Greg,
I happened upon a gun store in central Oregon and as I walked towards the gun display cases my eyes focused on the Ruger 380 LCP w/ LaserMax sights. Seeing as I already own a couple high caliber Glock handguns I figured a light sub-compact was precisely what I needed. Got a pretty darn good deal on the Ruger 380...brand new in the box, only Ruger factory rounds have passed through the barrel. I am definitely looking forward to learning more about additional Ruger handguns through the forum.

AL In Indiana | Morning Al,
I would be eating a maple bacon bar at this moment as well if I could convince my wife that doughnuts such as that are "good carbs". Yes...Voodoo has some excellent doughnuts...a little bit of a funky clientele though.
Regards,
Adam

I recently found a good deal on a new Ruger 380 LCP with the LazerMax sights. Never owned a firearm with laser sights but I couldn't resist the beauty of this little LCP. I carried a Sig P229 for years and didn't particularly care for it, however it was fun to shoot. Transitioned to a Beretta 1911 for another couple of years then finally got sold on Glock and that's where I've been stuck for the last 12 to 14 years. I own a Glock 21 .45, Glock 22 .40 and a Glock 27 .40. And I would agree with you...I liked the second generation much better. Don't know why I did but I upgraded and never used the rails for anything.
Regards,
Adam
