| Hello from East Central Illinois
Hi Forum! Just found this place. I'm a retired CPA living in "Mayberry" in the east central part of Illinois, formerly from the D/FW part of Texas ("Mayberry" is the wife's home town).
Have, and shoot, a blued Mk II Govt. Target (bought new in the early 80's) and a SR1911 (along with a few other non-Rugers).

You'll love it in Illinois. People are really neighborly. How far are You from Peoria? I'm from Prinseton, and I love Texas an Texans. I found them to be very friendly considering I was a Yankee.

I was only in Texas for 20 years. I do miss not having a state income tax and being able to buy a gun without jumping through hoops, but I really love living in a small town. Prior to Texas I lived in Des Plaines and worked downtown Chicago.
