If you're really wanting to get into competetive shooting, I would recommend that you consider starting to reload your ammo. Purchasing that much factory ammo, NIB, will begin to add up in costs quite quickly.
Just a thought, but you may wish to consider .38 Super to start with...somewhat less expensive to shoot yet it will give you a very accurate round with less recoil, making your follow-up shots slightly easier and faster!
