Hello, my name is eric, 22 years old and live in oklahoma. I have recently bought my first handgun, a ruger p89dc (decocker) 9mm from a buddy of mine. I have to say it might be a little heavy and bulky, but i took it to the firing range with a buddy of mine. He was using his cheap HiPoint .40 which he has shot thousands of rounds through, and the ruger outshot his HiPoint 2/3 times, even with it being my first time shooting a handgun, i was still able to shoot beer cans at 30 yards away with ease. I recommend this gun to anyone whos looking for evenly weight/recoil distribution. Weather your going to the range or home defense, i believe this would be the gun for you. I was using cheap tulammo rounds from walmart ($9.95 for 50 rounds where im at) and 49/50 shot, 1 being a bullet malfunction and not the gun. Amazing gun for the price!
