Whats going on everyone, my names Matt. New member to the forum, I've been looking into getting myself a Ruger for the past 5 years and finally made my dream reality. Initially I was verry interested in the P89 but was unable to find one for myself, but after a couple of trial and error visits to range I decided to pick up an SR40, and I couldn't be happier. Through research I was interested in the SR9 but when i was holding the 40 in my hand it was calling my name! It's my first firearm and first of many Rugers! Look forward to all the information, skills, and tips I'm going to find on here, and thanks in advance for all the help!

welcome from nevada, matt! i just this summer started the shooting hobby myself (beginning with a couple 10/22s and adding a P95). you'll love this forum for all the good info and helpful folks. i spend about as much time here as i used to on facebook (especially on days/weeks when i can't get to the range to shoot). enjoy the forum and your ruger(s)!

Welcome from soggy SW Florida. SR40 is a great gun - accurate, dependable and affordable. Prefer .40S&W over 9MM myself so went that route too. Enjoy your SR40 and the forums!
