Hello; I just found out about this site yesterday.
I was looking for info on my target I.
I have had it since 79 always thought it was strange that the slide didn't lock back 
Anyway looks like a great site, I hope to learn a lot more.

Welcome from California. I have a 1976 Mark I and it was not designed for the slide to lock back. Seems that was a later "invention". I try to count my 9 shots, but I'm not always good at it.

Welcome from your nieghbor in Missouri. I have both a MKI and a MKII. Only the MKII will lock the slide back on the last shot. I always thought it would be nice if there was a retrofit kit available to install on a MKI. Haven't seen one as of yet.
