These things are way to much fun... | yes, yes they are. i was totally new to firearms in early june (about when i joined this forum). bought a 10/22 and a cheap little scope. tons and tons of fun, and so dang cheap! you can spend hours and hours shooting (if you pace yourself just a little) for less than the cost of a movie (and consider how few good movies are out right now). within about three weeks i was salivating for a 10/22 takedown and couldn't stop myself. what part of oregon? i lived in eugene on and off for 5 years. welcome to the forum!

LOL its true you need an accountability partner.
A friend of mine and I made a commitment we would pick 3 calibers and stick to them because there are so many guns out there. One handgun round/one rifle round/ and one for plinking. Mine are .22, .357, and .223 I have one .45 acp but that was bought before I made this decision.
My wife is also a second voice of reasoning on why I don't need another gun.
