| New single action owner
Well, after watching, waiting and listening, finially got my first Ruger Single Action revolver. A New Model Blackhawk SS 357 mag. Built in 1984 and is like new. I can't wait to shoot it, hopefully this weekend. It is not my first Ruger since I have a couple of Mini 14 and a Red Label 20 gage. Looking forward to lurking and listening to all the experienced shooters of Single Action.

I like SA revolvers. I think the slow to unload and reload aspect makes me a better shooter. Gives you time to think and catch a breath, not just, "Bang, bang, bang" like an autoloader.
The shape and grip makes them better "pointers" than most other handguns, too. Being able to remove the cylinder makes them less awkward to clean than a DA revolver, where the crane is in the way and flopping around.

Thanks for the welcome. I have passed through most of the states you'al come from and have enjoyed my visits. I can't wait to travel back out west and visit again. My Daughter and Son-in-Law are going to move to Alaska next month so maybe I get up there before it's too late in my life.
Shall be watching for your posts and will be adding mine as well.
