| Chiming in from East Texas
I wanted to make this my first stop and say hello to everyone. I live in Canton, TX. We are an hour east of Dallas on I-20. I have been a Ruger fan forever and owned numerous "R" guns over the years. Currently, I own a P95DC that seldom leaves my possession. Several years ago, in order to be able to shoot as often as I wanted, I built a 10/22 from scratch. Fagen thumbhole stock, Kidd trigger group, CPC bolt assemby, Whistlepig barrel and a Mueller scope plus some tricks. It will shoot boolits in the same hole all day long. And we don't have any more BlueJays coming round eating the song birds eggs!
The main reason I went looking for you guys is to learn all about the mini-14. Today I traded a 1922 Marlin Model93 32 Spl, totally restored and in mint condition, for a unfired Ruger Mini 14 Stainless Steel Ranch Rifle built by Accuracy Systems Inc. in Colorado. I haven't received the rifle yet but should have it by the end of the week. It has more bells and whistles than my 10/22 ever thought about and some I've never heard of. So I am here to learn, meet and greet.
Howdy ya'll!

txbeaux, Welcome from Big D. looks like you made a good build and a good trade. Let us know how you like the mini 14 and a range report afterward.
I grew up just South of Tyler and miss the Piney Woods. (except for the 99% humidity during the summer.)
