Hello from the Adirodack Mountains of New York State. 58 years old revolver nut. The KZ1000 is my 1980 Kawasaki Z1. I have a newer one too, but I love the oldschool stuff.
I am thinking of getting a GP100 (4inch) or a SP100.

Welcome from California. That was a good year for Kawi's.
I've had a variety of Japanes bikes over the years (I'm 64) including a 1980 Yamaha XS Eleven. Nowadays I ride a 2010 Harley Electra Glide Ultra Limited and a 12 year old HD Dyna Glide. My Rugers are a Mark I 22 Target from 1976 and a 4" Security Six 357 that dates back to 1982. I guess you could say I'm old school as well.

Welcome from Phoenix! My first bike was a KZ900, brand new. I tricked it out a bit and man would she fly. Sold it after I got married and saw it again a few months later. The guy had trashed it and sold a bunch of stuff off it. I felt like crying! Look what he's done to my baby!

Welcome to the forum.
My first Kaw was the 1986 ZX1000R Ninja. I bought that thing new when I finally decided that 750s just weren't fast enough anymore. Next one was a 1989 ZX1000R. (even faster).
Open class Kaws have always been power hitters. Your KZ1000 started the whole thing. Keep it and treat it real good.
You can't go wrong with a 4" GP100 either.

Welcome to the forum KZ. I like the old bikes too, I have a 78 GS1000 Suzuki, only has 28K on the speedo. Can't beat the inline fours for durability.

Welcome from the Texas Panhandle. I still have my 76 KZ900 that I got when I was 18, and also have a 99 ZRX1100 along with 6 other bikes. Mostly ride motocross bikes anymore though.

Welcome from Wisconsin. Every Ruger fan should have at least one GP-100. |
