Ruger Forum

Hello everyone! I'm here to see what the Ruger community is all about and get some more information on the SR9 which I'm considering purchasing for my first handgun. I have enjoyed reading most of the threads I've looked at so far.

However, I don't know how I feel about the political side of a good number of comments. I like to consider myself more of a liberal than a conservative but I also choose to stay out of politics because I feel that all politicians are crooked in some way, some more than others. Hopefully you guys will still accept me. My best bet is to stay out of the Minefield!

Anyway I'm a 24 year old Marine Corps veteran with a wife and son with another one on the way in December. I work in the grain industry as my day job and don't really know what I want to be when I grow up yet. I'm glad to be here and look forward to participating in the forums.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion here and the goal is always to have intelligent and respectful conversations. Even in the minefield we don't allow personal attacks, only the debate of ideas, so have at it if you wish to participate.

welcome from nevada! i'm probably (guessing here) one of a relatively few liberal 2nd amendment advocates in the forum (i jokingly call myself a liberal-tarian). all the firearms info and experience from knowledgeable people is here if you ask. if you don't want to get into politics, it's pretty easy to avoid. i pretty much don't go to the minefield part of the forum, as i have plenty of friends and relatives to have good-natured political debates with, so i avoid that mostly. but when it comes to any and all thoughts, ideas, minutiae, trivia, little known facts or simply enthusiasm in re: whatever firearm you already have, or simply covet, this is the place to go.

Welcome. I love my SR9c. I've only fired the SR9 big boy, but had a great time with it.

I also consider myself a libertarian. The way I see it, the less government the better!

Welcome, HH! I just joined today as well. Seems like a great place to meet other people that share the same interest in the shooting sports. Have fun out here!

Wow this is the first forum I've ever joined that had so much feedback from an introduction thread. RF.net seems the place to be!

another reason it's easy to feel you've been brought into the fold. i just joined a few weeks ago, but i've been on the forum everyday to learn something new, or see what somebody might have posted about a query or thread i started. and it takes the edge off on the days you really want to go to the range but can't for whatever reason

. if you can't be out shooting, at least you can be getting good advice and salivating over pics people have posted and thinking about your next purchase...
