| Howdy from the new guy
I'm KzooRichie on a few other forums as well (airgun, woodwrrking and chess) I've been lurking off and on here for a while. I bought a 10/22 (my first firearm) last week, after learning that I can join a local range for only $60 a year. This forum is a big part of the reason I went w/ the Ruger.
For the time being my main interest is plinking, and improving my skills. I hunted as a kid, and hope to return to it in a couple of years. I loved small game, turkey, and archery deer, but lost interest in college. I think I'd also like to give the Appleseed program a try.
I know I want to improve my trigger, and put a scope on the gun. I'm very tempted to get the Ace in the Hole Peep Sight. Any feedback on that setup w/ a scope will be appreciated. Also, any pointers for preparing for the Appleseed.
I feel like I've learned a lot just lurking, thanks for a great forum. I skipped the regular introduction one because for now, I'm only interested in the 10/22.

welcome from nevada! i also just bought a 10/22 a few weeks ago, also my first firearm as well! i've probably put about 800 or so rounds through it at this point, and love it. this forum has tons of helpful folks who can impart a lot of knowledge and helpful info. also, i don't know if you've checked out ruger's own website, but it's pretty comprehensive, too, and includes a lot of helpful tech tip videos like how to disassemble/clean/reassemble your 10/22 properly. have fun here, and with your 10/22. as the guy in my local gun shop (which wasn't even where i bought mine) said "you're never gonna sell that gun... you're gonna love it, and probably keep it forever."
