| New Ruger Owner
Hi all my name is Chris and I'm from Rocky Point, NY. I am active in 2A preservation, a 8 year Navy vet, and working towards becoming a NRA certified pistol instructor. I just picked up a new SR1911, which is my first Ruger. I was stunned when I walked into an Oklahoma gun shop during a buisness trip to the state and they had one on the shelf. Ive been looking for one for a while now but Im sure thats a common story. It won't arrive at my FFL in NY until Monday so I don't have much say about it yet. Doing research on it brought me here there was so much good info I had to register and become a part of this community.

Hi, I'm Phil from Wenonah in the People's Republic of NJ. Been looking a long time to find a Ruger forum - glad you're here. My wife and grandson just attended an Appleseed shoot and I now have a project to build some 10/22s. Most of my time has been spent with handguns so I look forward to learning from all of you what works and what doesn't with a good long gun.
