Hi! newbie here. Not sure which thread to post this but can I ask these questions here. Hoping to find possible answers.
Should I store the pistol in its hammer down position or half cock position?
Would dry firing ruin the pistol?
Would magtech fmj (brazil) standard amo be okey for the pistol?

2. Ruger says its ok to dry fire, but snap caps are always safer.
3. I dont really know. I have had cycling problems with Tulammo(steel cased) Try the ammo you listed and see, just make sure its not +P
Oh... WELCOME !

Welcome from central Kansas. Dry firing is fine, however, I believe that Ruger recommends that the magazine (empty of course) be inserted before doing so.

Like the first post said.
I've only run a handful of fmjs through mine, but mostly SD stuff. There isn't a reason Magtech shouldn't work for you.
