New to the forum, but not new to Ruger. Over the years I've had a Mini-14, 2 10/22s, a P89 and a .357 Blackhawk. Unfortunately I only have one of the 10/22s these days - it's a stainless international (full length stock) with a Bushnell 3-9 scope. I sanded down the stock and put 7 layers of gloss varnish on it a few years ago - I'll post up a pic later. I continuously get offers to buy it from people who haven't even seen it, but, alas, Ruger no longer makes the international model, so needless to say they can't afford it. I also have a Winchester pump 12 and a Long Branch Enfield .303.
I'm looking to get another handgun and I've just about settled on the SR1911. I was considering a .40S&W but after shooting the SR at a sponsored event I'm 90% sold on it. They're in short supply these days, but then again I'm a carpenter and these days we have to be pretty tight with our money, so I'll wait. Any info or advice would be more than welcome.
