Did you ensure the ejector is pressed down and forward?

Are you able to look through the ejection port and the magwell?

Use a pencil and push the ejector (lever) down fully and try again?

Thanks, the ejector port is down already. I made sure of that, I am used to my P95 is why I failed to push the trigger forward.

Welcome...someone will be along soon with some ideas, I'm sure. I don't have one, so I can't make any suggestions.

I was able to get the slide on by fiddling with the guide rod while it was under tension. Thank's for the input.

Welcome from the Lake of the Ozarks. Glad you got it figured out. I just got my sr9c and haven't had any problems, yet. It is a sweet shooting little feller. Great trigger pull.

If that was the first time you have stripped it, you may want to do it again a couple of times to get familiar with the process. I ran into the same issue.

Cool

Been there, done that. Seems if the recoil spring slips down it can stick. Also I make sure the trigger is forward and the ejector down before re-inserting the slide.
