Interesting place you have here ... glad I found it.
I recently obtained a Ruger Vaquero and came upon your forum while looking up any info I could find on this revolver.
When I bought it, I didn't know anything about this model, but bought it because I really liked the look of it and how good it felt in my small hand. I then learned that there are two versions-Old and New. I haven't a clue about any potential advantages between the two models, but (thanks to your forum) I now know I have an "Old" model made in 2002.
It's Stainless with a 4 5/8 barrel and what appears to be Walnut grips ... a beautiful gun and a pleasure to shoot.
Welcome to the forum from Atlanta! Just for joining today and today only (possibly tomorrow) we will be sending you some snow! make a post within the next 10 min and we will send you twice as much snow for the same low price!!
I didn't mention, BuddyG, but mine's in 45 Long Colt also.
Thanks, 78CJ5 ... you're all heart, but I'll very likely not see any snow here.
I'm right next to the junction of the ICW, the New River and the Atlantic is less than a mile away. It can rain or snow 15 miles from here in any direction and we won't get a bit of it (and people wonder why I like living here).
I do appreciate the welcome from both of you, however.
Thanks, JimB120, but I'm on the other end. The Intracoastal Waterway is 800 yards away, the New River a bit more. Camp LeJeune is just over the river, North.

Nice area! I love the mountains, but miss the coast. Grew up just across the state line from Charlotte. Spent many of my formative years around the beaches and ICW. Nice place to be.
