I was on a handgun forum and the 9mm was the ultimate fighting handgun there, so as a big bore revolver fan I was out of place and went searching for something Ruger as I owned several. That was in November 2007. Time flies when your having fun.

I was researching the P95 which was to be my first handgun, and stumbled across this forum. Haven't looked back since!

Back in 2008 I was looking to get my first handgun. I visited several gun sites before purchasing my MKIII 22/45. It was information on this site and the friendly manner in which it was given that convinced me that the 22/45 was a good starting handgun. Never regretted that decision! It was information I got here that led to my first successful breakdown and cleaning of that firearm. I belong to a few forums but spend my time here as it was then and is now the best in my humble opinion.

Belonging to other forums like Fender Guitar, classic trucks etc. I knew there had to be one on Ruger guns.

I had a problem with a Ruger and ask for help. Someone on RF.com sent me a pm and suggested I go to RF.net and asked the Iowegan. I did, and he replied.

I found it searching for a Ruger forum. Got my first one over 40yrs ago, and have always owned at least one.
This is a great site, nice folks. I visit often but don't post much unless I feel I have something to offer. Guys and Gals here are pretty much all over questions by the time I read them and the answers are good. so I just enjoy!

Best,Rick

Hello, I was looking for some info on my 300 Winchester in the #1 V & have found this site very helpful already. I also have a number of other Rugers from the early standard auto, early 10-22s early 77`s and just landed a #1 V in the 300 Win Mag. I had a #1 in the 270 a few years ago and sold it, so now I am into the number 1`s again.

I'm also a member of Perfect Union and heard(read)some people over there talking about the Ruger Forum, so I thought I'd join and see all the cool firearms n stuff. Seems like a nice site.
