I was looking for a Ruger forum after picking up my LC9, my third Ruger. The first link to another forum didn't work, so here I ended up!

Hi all!
Yeah, I stumbled onto this place while trying to find tritium sights for my LC9.
Already modded it with Galloway parts;
- Replaced that ignorant "Loaded When Up" bar
- Removed the useless magazine safety
- Installed stainless guide rod

HATE the ridiculous trigger length & slop! Looking forward to fixing that problem...
I wonder how that horrid design won approval from a majority of Ruger engineers?!?

After all this time, the LC9 is still a hot seller.
WHY WHY WHY, is NOBODY making good tritium sights for this thing?
My Glock 23 came with them installed.
Love them so much, I installed a set (myself) on my Glock 27. NO, it was NOT fun to do!
I'm **hoping**, with over 10k members here, that SOME gunsmith would know of a good set that could be easily modified to fit the LC9?...
Not that toy "XS Big Dot" garbage, with the white-line bathtub rear sight.
I want a nice set of low profile sights like Trijicon SA37Y, I'm going to be installing on my new MP Shield 40S&W. Trijicon denies they will fit, but I've read and seen pics of other M&P sights installed on the Shield. Just a slight overhang on the rear slot.

Hmm, for my first post, I guess my handle fits huh?
I tend to go off on tangents!

Well, I'm geeked! I'm looking forward to miracle cures here! Between us all, lets make OUR OWN tritium sights if we must! I got hammer & drift pins, but nothing to machine with, (since I moved from Detroit)!

OK, I'll shut up for now. ;-)

After voting I noticed that I came to this site like a lot of other people. I was searching the web for info on the new Ruger SR1911 and stumbled upon this site. I lurked a while absorbing info and being the owner of a mini14, 10/22, and M77 MkII, realized that there was a lot of interesting stuff going on here. The folks here are informed and respectful and the moderators are sensible. So, Ive found a new home on the net.

As an alternative

I was looking for a forum with info on the Redhawk. I found "Ruger forum.com", but they pissed me off because they wouldn't accept email addresses from yahoo, which is what I have. Something about too many fake addresses or some such nonsense.

So I found a great site that wants me!

Regards,
M.R.

I tossed my hat in the ring when the forum owner was looking to expand the Mod staff back in mid 2010.

Unhappy Had problems with my LC9 sights

I had problems with my new LC9 sights coming loose during the first trip to range. Out of the box new I don't remember them being loose but then it sat for six months. Guys at the range tightened up the rear one for me but the front one will have to be replaced. Since he said this was a "common" issue I started to read all the reviews I could. The best information came from this forum, down to what size hex to use Called Ruger, had to leave a message. Never a good sign. Call them back on a Tuesday, Monday's are bad for calls too.

Thumbs up

I found this forum whilst doing handgun research & deciding if my first purchase would be a revolver or a semi auto. I've decided my first will be a revolver & to be more precise a Ruger GP100! Glad to have found this site, it's full of good info & lots of pictures of nice GPs for me to drool over!!

Other: A few months ago I went to sign in at the "other" ruger forum and the website was down for a few days. So a quick search led me here. Couldn't be happier.
