Yes it rattles like most Rugers . the manual even says that is normal it is the transfer bar.

First off welcome. That the sound of a safe revolver you are hearing and as previously mentioned it is the transfer bar which allows the hammer to rest on the frame away from the firing pin.

Welcome to the forum. My GP100 rattles to. As stated above it is just the transfer bar.
