LC9

Hello folks,
New to the forum. I just got a used LC9 and I like the size but the trigger travel is very long. How easy, or difficult is it to adjust the trigger on it? Can the average bear, like me, should attempt to adjust it?
Thank you in advance.

Welcome from The Republic of Texas...From reading the posts in the "Ruger Pistols" section it seems the triggers are meant to be that way for a defense type gun.So you do not easily and accidentally pull the trigger.

Thank you for the quick response from the Socialist Republic of California. I agree. That's going to be a bedside, easy access, piece. No children around of course. I will leave well enough alone.

To actually answer your question, Volquartsen (I think that's the spelling) offers kits to somewhat improve the trigger. However, nothing is as good as the LC9s, which Ruger designed to use an entirely new striker action. Externally it looks quite the same, but shooting-wise it is a vast improvement.

Cuts travel by half, pre-travel and over travel are adjustable...
