New to the Ruger Forum but not to Rugers

Hi everyone--
I have owned at least one Ruger firearm since 1978 and decided that it was time to join the forum. I currently own/shoot a GP-100 44 SPL, a TALO Super Blackhawk 44 Mag, a 45 Colt Blackhawk, and a 44 Mag Redhawk. I recently gave my 1978-era Ruger 10/22 to my grandson this past Christmas. It is his first rifle and he loves to shoot it when going to the range my his dad and gramps. I look forward to reading and learning about everything Ruger here.

First Thanks for your service, it is appreciated. Welcome from the free state of Washington. This is a great place to hang out with those of us interested in firearms. Good info to be had here also.

Thanks for the welcome! I was born and raised in Spokane, WA and was a WA state resident for 41 years. After retiring from the US Army--I settled in VA due to the dynamic job market in my specific field. I like WA state very much and still visit relatives there frequently but the freedoms in VA are greater. I can buy a firearm without a waiting period here as long as I pass the background check--something I could never so in Spokane--even 40 years ago. Hopefully WA state will wake up and adopt some of the freedoms I enjoy in the Olde Dominion.

I like your Tokarev avatar. I own two Serbian Toks and love to shoot them at the range. Many shooters there will ask me what kinda pistol is that? You don't see them that much in my locale.
