Striker cover and disconnect safety

Hello everyone, I have a quick question/problem. I was showing off my new SR9 to my friend who happens to have one. He stated he "wanted to show me something" and proceeded to remove my striker cover and the disconnect safety. This actually had me pretty mad, he should have asked first. I am capable of removing it myself. Anyway, I didn't like the huge space that was left there, (more room for debris), so I went to replace the magazine disconnect safety and I noticed he screwed up my SR9. (Well maybe screwed up is a little harsh, but I am ticked.) The hole that allows you to depress the striker plunger is now slightly enlarged!!! He apologized and offered to buy me a new part or give me his. It looks like it is ok, I guess, just slightly enlarged. Do you think this will effect anything?
Also, for those of you who have removed the magazine disconnect safety, did you notice a problem of debris accumulating in the area where it was? Thanks for your time. Frank.

EDIT: Just wanted to update the situation. I was really mad at my friend when I started this thread. When I wasn't as mad, I checked that part more carefully. The hole on the outside of the striker plate is only slightly enlarged. The inside, (which is the important side), has a metal ring. Everything is ok...no harm, no foul. (I'm still making him give me a new part though)

I have no idea about your question, but I have a friend who has similar "traits".

I bought a high end custom gaming computer. He was over at my house and I let him sit and look at it. When I turned my head, he was in the BIOS changing settings! I almost hit him with a bat. He wouldn't quit making what I felt were negative random changes. He wouldn't stop or get up (now, I'm yelling at this point) so I finally pulled the plug on it.

I'd ask him to buy me a replacement part.

They can be annoying sometimes. Anyway, after I calmed down, I re-checked the striker cover. The outside the hole is slightly larger, the inside has a metal ring and that is ok. No harm, no foul...I guess. So everything is fine. I was really ticked off when I started that this thread.
