SR9C failure to fire

Hey people I just recently acquired a sr9c used it was practically new had the case and everything it would have came with if it were new. Anyway I've put about an estimated 200-300 rounds through it and had 4 failure to fire. The ammo I was using is 115gr tulammo I know its cheap I was thinking it could be that. I've used federal 115gr brass and no problem. When it does fail to fire the primer is definitely struck it doesn't look like light primer strikes so not sure if its the firing pin. If anybody has any advice or tips would be appreciated thanks

Clean out the striker and striker channel. This has helped many with the same issue. Here are some instructions to remove the striker. Try other brands of ammo also.

I have a SR9 I have never had a failure to fire but anytime I have a slight issue it had always been because I didn't clean the gun after range time. Now I field strip the gun and clean and light oil and never had a problem since. Sometimes the cheap ammo could be a problem too. I've been sticking with federal 115 grn. Fmj. My gun seems to like it. Good luck.

+1 on the striker cleaning. Use a flash light so you can see all of the metal shavings that get down into there. You would be amazed. I use a long Q tip to get the crud out.

I clean mine after ever trip to the range.

If you got 296 fires out of 300 Tulammo rounds consider yourself lucky.

The eastern european primers are hard and notorious for not lighting up when struck. If you are not getting light strikes with other ammo the Tul is likely your problem.

It also is dirty ammo, so thorough cleaning after use is desirable.
