Lightbulb Customer service-

Wanted to log my experiences with Ruger Customer service. Intent is to illustrate Ruger's support and give all an idea of my experiences- which has been outstanding thus far.

1- the gun- a WC II ( blued version)
2- the problem- all my fault, I dropped it during an IDPA match, pushing myself too hard- so the finish is scratched on the cylinder and near the muzzle on the barrel. Muzzle is fine. No problems mechanically, just asteically. I appraised them of the nature & cause of the problem.
3- I submitted a request for help using the contact us on the Ruger website. Again, stating the problem that I dropped the gun.
4- within 24 hours I received an email from them advising to call. I called and received a RMA and Fedex shipment label.
5- took me an additional day to get it packaged and at FedEx. It's enroute to Ruger in NH.

Thus far- am impressed, very helpful both in email & telephonically. Will continue to advise the forum of my experiences

Ruger is always the best. Henry is right on par with them. Blows everybody else out of the water.

I had a similar situation with my 10/22 TD.

I allowed the rifle to slip from an unsteady position at the range-broke the front sight.

I called Ruger and explained the situation. Picked up, fixed, returned, all for free!

Best customer service in the business.

Keep us posted.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if ruger fix it for free.

I too have enjoyed the great customer service from both Ruger and Henry. I will not hesitate to buy products from either company since I know they stand behind them.

An update-
1-Fedex reported the gun was received on Mon. Given holiday weekend, not surprised.
2- received email from Ruger that they have it and are "reviewing the stated problem".

So far, pleased with communication thus far.

My experience with Customer Service has been one occasion. I was asking for help to disable the auto safety on the Ruger Red Label Shotgun. They were AWESOME. Sent me the label to ship to them and they made the adjustments in the time estimated and returned on time.

Not surprised at all that you have had a good experience.

Ruger Customer Service has been excellent.

Update #2

Got an email from Fedex with a delivery date of Weds, meaning I'll get it Thurs since I won't be home to sign for it.

No other email / communication from Ruger, so my assumption is they refinished it.

Will advise later this week. So far am pleased & impressed.

Update #3- conclusion

1- FEDEX delivered the gun today. Ruger refinished the gun, function checked it and included another owners manual.

2- in my quick scan, they did a great job. Will clean it tomorrow and give it a thorough inspection.

Ruger exceeded my expectations. Very pleased with their customer service. Big thumbs up!

I just had a similar good experience with my 9e. Seven day turnaround, including shipping time.
