Let me throw out another point to ponder.

I can't get behind the ripcord style cleaning systems. As you drop that weighted end down through your barrel the fabric cord will pick up chunks of all that stuff; carbon, unburnt powder, priming compound.
Now, as you pull that rope out of your barrel, unless you are absolutely straight to the bore that encrusted rope is going to drag somewhere. That somewhere is the very edge of your crown.

Springy nylon coated steel like a Dewey rod. Routinely wiped off after every removal from barrel - I use a piece of paper towel and a small amount of mild solvent. In barrel manufacturing facilities bores are lapped with bronze brushes dipped in some type of abrasive as part of the process - be careful not to "lap" your bore in the cleaning process. Toss a rod that looks like a cork-screw.
