Security Six rough turning crane

Got a used security six that had a rough spot while spinning the crane.

Took it apart and gave it a dunk in the ultra-sonic cleaner. No change

Took it apart again and worked on the crane a bit with a scotch brite pad, seemed to smooth it out a bit.

Upon reassembly I discover the ejector rod star washer was AWOL.

Gonna order a replacement from Numrich and was wondering if the

Ejector rod could be slightly warped or bent. Since I didn't have the washer I couldn't complete the reassembly and confirm the rough spot was gone.

Also found a crane reamer at Brownells but for 35 bucks I'd like to be sure that will fix the problem.

Anyone else have this problem and solved it?

I have two of those and mine are fine. I agree with your conclusion. Unless it's really bad you may find it easier to just live with it because that gun has been out of product for a long time.

I don't think you'll find your part at Brownells though. The Security Six is too old for Brownells.

I think you might have better luck at gunparts.com. They stock parts for older guns and Brownells doesn't.
