Got to buy another Safe.

When I bought my Field & Stream safe I never thought i'd need another one.But the wife and daughter want to put all their stuff in it too. So i'm going out and buy me another one, a 16 gun one so I can have some space. My buying days are going to be in slow motion now. Never say never!

Buying a safe is like building a new garage, Always go bigger than you need to leave room for what you may acquire later. Reason, the available space goes away fast.

I cannot, I will not buy another safe. Safes have a nasty habit of getting filled up.

"Stuff" will always materialize to fill any available space. It's a law of physics . . . or something.

I would go for a 24 or larger capacity safe If I were you.Cheaper than a 3rd safe.

I recently bought a 2nd safe. 24 gun, be reminded that a 24 gun holds about 12 guns if you don't crowd them. Mine is a Liberty Centurion, dial lock. I got the dial, don't trust the electronic ones. My other safe actually held all of them but it got to be a hassle to remove 5 or 6 to get the one I wanted. I put those used the the least in the new safe. Price difference between the 16 and a 24 isn't a lot, go with the 24 if possible.

Man was I in for a shock today,I went to buy me a safe and the store had a 24 gun safe for $ 499.00 on sale. The shock was if I wanted it deliver to my home it would cost me $ 324.99,the private contractor charge by the pound. I'm going to rent a $ 29.00 U-Haul trailer or truck, and the son and I will pick it up. Oh i'm going to buy a 16 gun safe now.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't trust a $500 safe.....................my Liberty was $3200, and that was 21 years ago. That same safe now is over $6000 new, but not having to worry about what's in it is worth the price in my opinion.

My experience tells me if man made it,it can be broken into, regardless of the price one paid.

Just curious, but does the $500 safe have a triple relocker system on it, (in case someone would start banging on the tumbler or spinner, or decide to tip it over a sear drops inside the door that locks all the door pins in place)?

Does it have 1" 12x12 plates welded on the inside? How about a composite door that takes a special torch to cut through it?

You should google Liberty Safe, there are some eye opening videos showing them doing some crazy things to their safes, in two of the videos they drop the safe from a crane from about 130', in another they try to blow the door off with no luck.

I still remember what the gentleman from Liberty told me about getting in to it, He said if you want to try to get into this safe, you'd better bring your lunch, because you're gonna be here awhile.

P.S. I don't bolt mint to the floor either.....at 1300 pounds, its not going anywhere.
