New Magpul CTR Question

Just bought the CTR in the pics and haven't installed it yet. I noticed what looks like an excess piece of material that should have been removed when it was made, but wanted to ask CTR owners to make sure. The piece of material Iím talking about is on the bottom of the tab on the left hand side of the pics and sticks out at a 90 degree angle. Is something broken? Or is it this just a case of poor fit and finish that I can break off and drive on?

I have no doubt it will fit on, just want to exchange it if it's broken before I do.

Update: Went back to the dealer where I bought it. Looked at 3 other CTR stocks and they all had the same excess piece in the same location. Whatever the cutting tool is in the manufacturing process isn't cutting far enough on that side. Never having bought one I just wanted to make sure it wasn't broken. Going to remove the excess and install the stock tonight.

Just looked inside my approx. 2yrs old CTR stock. It has the same pieces as shown in your picture.

This stock has been awesome.
