This is the 21st century! when killing thugs (There are soo many) you should be well matched, no black shoulder rig with a brown belt or brown pocket holster. Black is the new black, and back (like it ever left us type of guys)...! ; )
American Rifleman needs a new column, "Shooting Fashionably"..... maybe not such a good idea? "I'll wear the Kymber Today with the brown IWB and my brown Coach wallet so it will match my brown leather briefcase"....................

Works for me! I'd wear my Black Ed Brown Molon Labe in my black Don Hume leather belt slide on my black Galco cop belt. Beyond that, being a guy divorced and mom's long gone, I have no clue. But living in AZ, it would probably be cargo shorts and a loose fitting short sleeved pull over and flipflops!

Besides, moms idea of being properly dressed meant all the right parts were covered.

Oh yeah, I'd have to include the knife in a black holster along with my black leather dual 1911 mag holster.

But honestly, I've never worn all that crap at once. Back in my lean, mean cop days, I always hated all the stuff I wore on my belt ... except when I had to use it!

How in the hell did you know Mama dresses me in the morning?? ; ) BTW, I'm in Florida, your hot with my heavy humidity? I'll walk out with two different colored socks on and not notice! As far as right parts covered, you do mean the gun don't you? No not that one, you flithy minded perv........ LOL
I wear t shirts, shorts and flip flops most of the time when not working, also. As far as the 1911 grips, It only seams natural to have your knife grips match your schema? ; ) Scenario, get up S., S., S., and change your grips to match your daily wear. It's actually hilarious to fashion up for work and play.

You wear socks?

Guns are mens Barbie dolls. Why not dress your 1911 to fit your mood. I've got at least 3 extra sets of grip panels for my 1911's and Hogue and walnut dress up grips for my 92 & 96 fs's. I've also got a wood stock for my M1A SOCOM. Yeah, I like to accessorize. It helps to keep me from buying another gun (a little).

My M1911 knife arrived this week and I love it. I purchased it from the NRA on-line store. Made by Ultimate Equipment, it has a modest NRA engraving on the blade. Looks great with the Ruger SR1911.

Other matches in my modest collection:

Elf Monkey (all black freebie from the NRA - Made in China-----)
  • SA XDS
  • SA XD9sc
Spyderco Military (satin stainless with black G10 grips)
  • Ruger Mark III Target
  • Kimber Solo Carry STS

I first saw/heard about the M1911 knife here and knew I had to add one to my collection. I've had it about 3 weeks and I can tell you the lock mechanism really smooths out after you cycle it open & closed a bunch. I'm notorious for handling my knives while watching TV, so I'll bet it has been opened at least 500 times now.

I've got one. Had it for a while. Great knife. Looks great with a 1911. If you're a 1911 fan you can't go wrong with owning one.

Where would you get a knife like that?

Are these knifes something aftermarket custom made? Or is there somewhere you would be able to buy a knife with the SR1911 pistol grips?

MY SR1911 an 1911 Knife

Got mine today. I am really impressed with it. Wasn't impressed with the price but I bought it anyway. I have custom grips on order from shopruger.com for my SR1911 and I guess I need to order another set for my 1911 knife. It just never ends. I have got to quit reading these forum threads, I'm going broke! LOL
