Well over 200. The last time I dug out and laid out my knives it took me over four hours to set it up and put them away. I have over 40 old Case knives and more than that new alone. 50+ junkers (less than $50). 9 autos, 35+ handmades, and just a buttload of this and that. Now for the embarassing part, When I'm working I carry a Wenger Swiss Army knife that is actually given out to the soldiers, and a Swiss Tech multi tool that has a flash drive in it. Other times I carry a Microtech HALO II and is worth about $600 in it's present condition. I don't have any zillion dollar knives but a lot of in betweens... ; ) When I worked as a Longshoreman in NY I carried a Buck 110, because they can take almost any abuse you can throw at them and still keep cutting. My oldest knife is 1863, it's a butcher knife from Sheffield England. My newest one is a Microtech Scarab Double Edge Out the Front, and it's one bad dude!! I'm going to get off my butt and do a line up again for ins. and will post it then.
Keep on Knivin',
Tony

Like guns- if you know how many you have you don't have enough!

I used an orginal 50s vintage Puma White Hunter to skin out an butcher a moose a couple of years ago. A lot trimmer handle than the new one but still easy to see why they became famous. I got the Hunter at a gun show for $35 - it showed years of use but was still in pretty good condition. Like a rifle- a knife that show lots of years of honest use is a true treasure.

I have several but I have a feeling these Griptilians are going to last me a while. Time to spend more on guns and ammo!

Tracer is an unknown quantity at this point
I can say about 7 Bowie types, dozen pocket knives, 4 Italian stilletoes, 6 skinning knives, 5 boning knives, 4 slicing knives, 2 meat axes, 3 pary knives. I think the last time I counted them all it was over 100 and my wife still shakes her head.

I'm in the 200 range also

One day I decided to pull them all out and take pictures. To say that took awhile would be an understatement. There are around 20 Case Peanuts, I only collect unusual Peanuts along with 20 to 30 other Case knives. Some special Buck’s, about 25 MicroTech’s, 40 or so Custom made, 8 or 9 that I made, a bunch from companies that are no longer with us, some EK’s, GT’s and Gerbers. Right now I am into Kershaw’s and ZT’s, Oh yeah and the Kabars.

I tried to group them together by type or manufacturer so I wouldn’t have so many pictures but, I still ended up with a bunch.

All in all, I have to say, I never met a knife I didn’t like, well not usually.

Now I have to get to work on the gun collection. I am up to 28 firearms.

OK, OK It's over 200.

I grew up in the country and worked as an electrician for over 40 years. My knives are some of my most important possessions. I'd leave the house without my pants before I left out without a pocket knife. I normally carry a Buck Mod. 301 made in the 70's or one of my older three blade Case folders. I have probably 20/25 knives in my collection ranging from a Leatherman to a large Buffalo Brand Bowie that's great for butchering cattle or hogs. Every knife has a purpose and I don't know of anybody that can get through the day without one.

All my knives were lost in a tragic boating accident.

Actually I have a lot. I've never counted. But it's more than ten, fewer than 50.

Somewhere around 15. I have not counted recently. Most are spydercos and I have a few other random knives. I use most of my knives. I have very few that are just for my personal collection. Just like my guns I like to use what I have. No safe queens.
