I'm a Balisong collector. I have about 60 Balisongs, a couple of large sebenzas, a Master Tanto by Cold Steel, a Cold Steel Trailmaster San Mai, and other smaller knives.

Somewhere between 12 and 25, never found the need to count them?

I have maybe 60 folders and a dozen or so fixed blades. I have a little of everything, automatics, balisongs, assisted opens, slip-joints, locking blades and multi-tools. Unfortunately, I've never been able to make up my mind what should be my EDC - right now, it's a small Victorinox.

How many have I lost over the years would be an easier question to me....

I'm impressed with many of your knife collections. I remember my first knife was an old Barlow about 40 years ago. I could have used one of my Mom's butter knives and done better with them- but it was black and shiny on the wall at the local soda shop. It was a big deal to get your first pocket knife back in the day.

I've recently started collecting/using Bob Legler custom skinning/filet knives.

Same here. I bought automotive tools also. My IRA tanked while my hard assest remain strong. Even a used ratchet is worth more than what I paid for it. All my tools are made in the U.S.A.

I also collect WWII military hand tools.

last time I counted 30 or so. 15 of them are spydercos I do know that, my first love was knives. Always had a swiss army knife on me when I was a kid and then it turned into a multitool on the belt and a lock back in my pocket

How many? I guess I tell the wife "almost enough" have two less right now, as I gave my two oldest grandsons one each of my oldest straight blades. One of my first owned knives that I purchased in 1964 and carried rabbit and pheasant hunting, the other, a skinner that I bought a year or two later and used on my trapping line. Their Mothers were not as happy as the boys were. I hope they get good use out of them too and maybe pass them on to their grandsons.

Couldn't tell you to be sure....heck if I know where they all are also. I've been collecting since I was a little guy, and love both the classics and modern blades. I would guesstimate my number over the century mark
