I have a similiar knife, but it doesn't have the double guard. We THINK my Grandfather bought it in the 20's. It is indeed a Ka-Bar, but I can find no information on it. It is an exact copy of a Marbles of that era. Old knives are awesome.
I had that same knife as a boy scout (late '50's)until it got stolen (late '70's).
That put me on the road to making knives.
