Whoops, just realized who you are. A knife that looks like a San Jocinto relic but is sized to carry discreetly, you may be onto to something here. Why leave good history behind when you walk out the door?

Thanks for the compliment. I have made quite a few large Bowie style knives. I own many swords and machetes, Trench Knives and KaBAr military knives.
As near as I can interpret Texas Knife Laws, no Bowies or 'fighting knives' are legal for carry. I think a knife has to have a blade of 5.5" in length or less and be less than 2" wide to be legally carried in Texas.
I feel like a knife used in a defensive situation would be a last resort type thing. Personally I like to slip my 3" M-29 into an inside vest pocket.
