Seein' this is a Ruger Forum, I thought I would post the first picture of a Ruger knife. This is a Case Ruger presentation knife with Alexander Sturm and William Ruger's signature on the blades. Last edited by Iowegan; 10-15-2009 at 06:52 PM. |

IOWEGAN: So about how long ago was this presentation Case blades avaliable? And to what was such a price for such a grand item to have, Or were they made to be awards to be given out? I have hurd of such great knives, as my Dad & Grandpa always carried a Case knife.. Just didn't know untill now that Ruger had them also.... Peace! Relay225 "GOD save the Republic!" |

Case does huge business in collectable and commemorative knives. They have issued several Ruger collectables over the years, In addition some of their larger dealers have also ordered special editions of their own. I haven;t done it---yet---but I'll bet with some digging you'd find a good half dozen or more Case/Ruger special edition knives---aand all are good solid working knives.

Teddybear, The run of Ruger/Case knives above were made in mid-2005. I have seen a few at gun shows but they were priced more than double of what I paid ($50). I was at Bass Pro in Council Bluffs, IA this past summer and spotted one in their knife show case for $59.95. A few weeks later I returned and it was gone. I should have bought it for "tradin' material" .... but you know how that goes ..... coulda shoulda.

I have three of these shown and I have a couple of the others from that series.I gave right at 50.00 each for the three I have. Then the others I found at a Case factory outlet store. Midsouth Shooters Supply, Reloading, Air Guns, Optics, Muzzleloaders & Shooting Supplies did have the whole series of them but that was some years back now.I wanted to get the whole set and didn't.The whole set would have been 500.00 and I just couldn't justify spending that money for something to put away.I'm sorry I didn't now. |

Love the commemorative knives, and yours is a very nice example. I have a Schrade commemorative knife in a tin with the Ellenville Schrade factory on it that I'll post elsewhere here in the Knives section of the forum. ![]() -Bruce |
