AZ law says a 'pocket knife' is allowable to be carried without a concealed weapons permit. No mention of blade length that I can tell. I'm looking to upgrade my no-name knife. Some good ideas here. Thanks |

Kershaw Chive here. Small enough to be legal most anywhere. Been opened so many times I replaced the torsion bar a couple of days ago. Kershaw sent me two fer free. Their website says they are good for about 10,000 opens. That's about right, considering the length of time I've carried it. |

Being a Huge Chris Reeve Knives fan, I swap between these two, depending on my mood. Some days, I carry one in each front pocket. Top one is the Umnumzaan, the bottom is a large regular Sebenza. |

Very nice blades! Plus some good ideas. Can't post pics yet but carry Buck, Case, Kershaw, & SAK. Not all at once. Wanted to buy a Kershaw that looked like a Buck 112 with micarta panels. Didn't because it was stamped China. Oh well.

These are my edc knives (minus the kabar) which I keep next to my bed on my guitar amp. Left top: Benchmade 551 (plain edge) in 440C Left bottom: Benchmade 530 (plain edge) in 154CM Right top: Spyderco UKPK in CPM-S30V Right bottom: Douk-douk small in carbon steel The two on the right I got so I'd have something legal to carry when I go to England, but they've also become my favorite to carry here in the USA. The douk-douk is great for something really flat when wearing nice clothes and slacks (it's also my suit coat knife). The UKPK sits really low, cuts really really nicely, and has a premium steel that I love keeping sharp. By the way, every knife in this picture shaves hairs without any trouble. My father raised me to ask the question, "what's the point of having a dull knife?" |

I don't carry in my pocket, but the Leatherman tool is normally in my bag with my laptop. The knife blade has come in handy many times.

Unfourtunately that's false, Law Enforcement can nail you for any length of blade no matter what the length of the blade. That being said most officers use discretion on enforcing it. If you didn't use it in a confrontation, or your stopped and questioned, just to be let go, no harm, no foul. Many people depending on where in Ohio, more country boys will carry, versus city slickers, will carry a knife somewhere, somehow. I do wish Ohio would pass a affirmative law, in black and white, allowing the carrying of a knife as long as it wasn't used in a unlawful manner and would also cover self defense with a knife. But that's only a pipe dream knowing our legislators. BTW, my EDC alternates between a Black Kershaw Blur (one handed , assisted opening), or a SAK Farmer. Until I found the Farmer, I carried a Imperial Kamp King (Boy Scout pattern knife). So nothing exotic or fancy. Rifleman 336 Last edited by Rifleman336; 02-15-2010 at 04:25 PM. | |

My current EDC is a Kershaw Skyline. If you haven't heard of those check them out, you get a lot of blade in a slim, lightweight, and affordable (~$30 - $45) package. I don't even know I have it on me most the time, but when I need it, it's always there.

I don't have a photo of it, but I carry an Emerson mini-commander and I'm very happy with it. Perfect groove for the index finger and a great size and weight for pocket carry.

I carry an old, beat up Remington stockman with good old carbon steel blades for doing all the chores and right now a CRKT M-21 is handling the one hand opener duties.

Awesome blades, I carry my SOG Trident religiously. I've had it for about 3 years now and love it, light weight and yet durable.

I have a large assortment of knives, most of which I never carry. Most are stainless, some are damascus. My typical day-to-day carry is a Spyderco Byrd razor edge, and I have a Spyderco Police Stainless razor edge as well, but I love it so much - I keep it put away: (not my photos, just representational ![]() ![]() Last edited by INFERNL; 04-03-2010 at 06:13 PM. |

You can carry any folding knife you want, fixed blades have to be open carried (although best not to do this in city areas), no size limits. My Benchmade 530 is the best knife I've ever carried. It'll slice anything without getting hung up. |

That's the only good thing about MD laws right now, too. No limit on folding knives. I believe fixed blades are illegal for concealed carry.

I have several Bowie knives and one of those Arkansas "toothpicks"! However, my day to day carry knife ( XX-Case double blade) has been replaced with a smaller Case lock knife that I received from the NRA last week. Yeah, and the SOB is made in CHINA too.........Geez NRA too has sold out to China. |

My EDC. It's a Doug Ritter Survival Knife, RSK-Mk1. Doug designed the blade,Benchmade made it out of S30V steel and married it to a Griptilian handle.Benchmade lists it as a Model 552,but its only distributed and sold by Aeromedix as the RSK-MK1. The blade is 3.3" long. |

GERBER Multi-Tool and a Leatherman Micra Used to wear a nifty Gerber Touche' belt buckle knife, but it got so worn out, the knife rattled on the buckle and I was afraid I'd lose it. Trying to find a replacement because I still reach for my buckle when I need a knife. Aqualung |

Magnum Boker Design. My daily carry knife. Automatic, even though it's gone through a lot and been used a lot by my brother in the USAF, with a little oil once in a while it still works smooth and fast! [IMG] [/IMG]

I carry an old beat up Buck 110 everyday. I really don't care for the new tactical style folders that most people use now days. I guess I'm just old fashioned that way.
