1. Red, since that is the traditional color.

2. Because I really like orange.

3. Silver. Like Donn said, the other colors wear off, but silver stays the same forever.

I haven't held a "real" one in years, but I'm going with red. Red is my favorite color.

Silver Alox. My 34 year old Soldier has a real nice patina along the edges from pocket wear. Other than that it's ageless.

I prefer the blue ALOX ones, just because I like the color and it's a little "unusual". But the red ALOX ones are great too, easy to spot in my bag.

Looks like the reds have it!

But today, just for variety, I'm carrying a blue Wenger, with an ad marking for some company called Deloitte. Bought it used at a gun show, but in really nice shape. I did polish the blades with Simichrome and honed the blade.

I like green, too, but always come back to red for most carry .

I agree the Alox colors wear off. I'd stay with silver on those.
