But I did make a nice deer antler pipe....lol

Have you use the pipe? I know what it smells like when it gets hot on a belt sander. I don't think it would taste good when it gets hot.

Excellent pieces of work gentleman! I have been working on building a blacksmith forge and building knives that way, but am still very far from turning out anything good.

TMB I tried to answer your questions twice and it seems my replies have been deleted. I am not trying to ignore your question and being rude.

I'm a custom knife maker; I own Jank Custom Knives. Do you make any with 1095 and 15n10 , or L-6? Send me your website if you have one.

He better be careful; it's addicting. I started off trying to make one many, many years ago, now I'm a professional knife maker.

I hammer out the odd blade. I started when I needed to vent my frustration after moving from the workshop floor to an office. Pounding on a keyboard was not working for me.

Service 13,
If you can, try to go propane for the forge. Best thing for me, working with charcoal in a brake drum forge was not as consistent for me.
