Tree rats are my all time favorite. Ground hog is fun, too! (I find the meat tasty in a good stew) |

Living in the Northwest fly-way, the Candian (Honkers) Geese take front page, till the Phesants gather from the cold weather...But before the knees went south on me, I was a Chucker fan, tuff to hit as flying rockets they are....but then the little Top-Not Quail were also a hard hit ship to catch up with....up to the moutains for Blue Grouse & the wild Tom Turkeys....corse it is known around here, I have killed more deer with my cars then ever with a rife.... Go figure....(Only one with a rife & 6 with the car).... Peace! Relay225 "GOD save the Republic!" |

I love hunting Texas cottontails & jackrabbits since I was 10 years old, with a .22rimfire revolver. I truly love to hunt squirrel with my Browning Buckmark Target .22, but the most fun I have enjoued is hunting Texas Whitetail and mule deer with my Ruger Redhawk in .41mag. I also took a Spotted Fallow Deer with that gun. I just turned 51 and still love to handgun hunt, although these days they are all topped with some sort of sighting system as well. The iron sights are getting harder & harder to see, and I could not live with myself if I made anything other than a clean kill. As far as bird hunting goes Doves are my favorite, though I have also hunter duck, goose & turkey. tex45acp |

Now if I am using a rifle, it will be bull elk in the U.S.A. and my caliber of choice is a wildcat in the .338 caliber, known as the .338/300 Ultra mag with 225 grain bullet at 3150fps. Now out of the country, It is a toss up between Red Stag or Kudu using the same rifle. Shotgun has me shooting Upland birds over my dogs! There is just nothing like watching those dogs work a field or brush pile for birds. I have done so since 1957, back when they made real automobiles that lasted and meant something. |

Mine is coyote hunting. Use a hand call get them close and Shoot them with a gun or Camera. Here is some camera shots I've taken in the past. One of my best days was 4 coyotes called in. All at the same time and took them out with a AR-15. Geneo ![]() ![]() |

Whitetail deer followed by squirrels with rifle, handgun or muzzleloader! Never caught on to hunting with those pointy stick gimmicks!

Oh boy, a tough one . . . So little time, so much game! But if I had to pick one, I guess I'd say grouse, because I can grab the dogs and a shotgun and go for a walk after work, and be hunting--just that the season's too damn short here in Colorado! After that, maybe quail because I love the way they seem to bring out the best in my dogs, and a trip for quail always involves some good buddies and a mess of dogs. As much as I love guns and game, I have to say I love gun dogs even more. |

My favorite is anything I can hunt with my revolvers that is good to eat. Deer are great, squirrels are lots of fun, but my very favorite is tip-toeing through the briers hunting cottentails with .38 Special wadcutter. |
