Started out with Dad. As he aged and could not go anymore I hunted with my FIL then my son. He is away at college now so....I hunt with my 14 y/o daughter. Here is this year's deer.

[/IMG] I'd have to say my daughter and my grandson. I learned to hunt and shoot on my own. Dad passed when I was 1 1/2 yrs. old, step-dad, well that's another story. So it was really great to have children of my own to share the great outdoors with.

My son is my partner

I grew up in the woods with my Dad, he passed in '95. Now my son has grown up in the woods and on the water with me. Here is a little of the progression of my son's hunting. First deer (muzzloader), First bowkill and a more recent bowkill. Enjoy!

Okay, I'm going to add any one of the half dozen great bird dogs I raised and hunted with when I was growing up in Nebraska. If you're not a bird hunter, you might not understand the bond that develops between you and your dog, especially when most of your hunting was just the two of you out in the fields all day. It's almost a telepathic thing. Those dogs were so much more than just hunting companions, too. They took a piece of my heart with them every time the years caught up with them and they died. I loved them all.

I kinda hate to say this, but I am a hunting' loner. Always do better, enjoy more, only have myself to talk to...and answer, keeps me on focus, but...If my Grandsons lived closer, they would be it. When I can, and it is not often, I do with them.

My Dad did not hunt, I got the bug from my Grandmother, who hunted deer well into her 80's. Gone now, as is my Dad.
