Question re: 17HMR

I got my old Savage 93R17 out of the safe and decided to start shooting it some.....which I probably haven't done in 6 or 7 years...I never really shot this a lot, I even repurposed the scope I had on it some time ago....

Anyway, if I sight it in at say 25 yards dead on, what can I expect trajectory wise as I get out to 50 or even 100 yards?

There are all sorts of ballistics table for centerfire cartridges but none that I can find for this rimfire.

I'm supposed to go squirrel hunting this Sunday so I won't have much time to sight it in on a real range.

Thank you, that was very helpful. According to that if I sight my 20 grain 17 HMR at 1/4 high at 25 yards it will be dead on at 100.

Thank you again.

GSR Fan is an unknown quantity at this point
Dist. Drop. Vel. Ft lbs
0 -1.4922 2549 245
25 -0.4929 2394 216
50 0.1268 2245 190
75 0.3145 2101 167
100 0.0089 1962 145
125 -0.8623 1829 126
150 -2.3843 1702 109
175 -4.6573 1583 95
200 -7.7987 1472 87

This is with the center of the scope 1.5" centered over the bore with CCI V-Max 17 HMR

The chart keeps smashing together no matter how I edit it, but basically just put it right on at 100.

Try using Nikon's "Spot On" software. It's free online & pretty cool.
