Game cam pics.

Ive been getting some really cool game cam pics lately, and thought maybe that would be a good thread to start.

Hoping that folks share what they are catching on film.

What have you unexpectedly caught on your game cam lately ?

Here we go.

The deer pic makes for a good size reference on the bear. They seem to be in almost the same spot.

Good spot for the photos.
Have to admit I don't like being around the Bears.
Be careful around them.

This was at our camp. And Im ALWAYS armed with my conceal carry CZ 9mm anyway, and usually add a rifle to the mix when we go to camp since Im always on the prowl for coyotes that need sent to their happy hunting ground.

We usually go to camp at least one weekend day every week and cook, eat, mill around, etc. And we have been very careful about letting anything food wise, or even like old tin foil off the grill laying around. We bring ALL trash home every trip.

We've found no bear tracks right around the cabin, but have caught him on cam passing through several times about 150 yards away.

What puzzles me about the two bears ( we know of ), is even in the pics, they walked right past that big pile of apples. I would have bet they would have sat right in the apple plie until they had a full belly.

I thought you would be well prepared.
This is how We were introduced to the Ruger Firearms.
The Lady across the street from Us used to tap their Maple Tree's for making Maple Syrup. She came over to our house on a Friday night and told us that a Bear
had been around and Clawed up her sap buckets. Told us to be careful and especially at nite to turn the lights on before venturing outside.
Told the Wife we are going shopping in the morning.
Went to the local hardware store that also sold Firearms. Asked the man we need something to stop a Bear. The guy does the normal old Ooska, Ooska Look and said What. Told him the story, he showed us a few things and I asked him about a 44 Magnum. Cause what you have shown us might just get him mad and not kill him.
So we ended up with a 44 Magnum Vaquaro 5 1/2" Barrel with a very nice Deep Blueing.
That's was our introduction into Ruger's.
I'm glad that we have Not had to use it on any Bears.
This was back in 1999.

Caught this WIDE fella under my apple tree at home. I had no clue he was even around until this pic. Another smart one that stays totally nocturnal.

From about 1976 to 2008, I got my buck every year, plus ELK and Mulies different times. . I have not shot a deer at home since 2008. I still go hunting though.

About 3 years ago, when we came out of the woods, I walked up to the truck and just jerked the bolt open pitched my rifle in , my brothers noticed it WASNT LOADED. I kinda caught a little hell for that. I seen a pretty nice 8 point too, watched him for about an hour. But he was kinda heading Dads way, so I was hoping DAD would see him. Ended up he didnt. So that kinda made the whole unloaded rifle thing worse. ( At least in my brother's opinions )

Not so sure I will this year either. I like watching the deer more than I do shooting them. Now if I see a Milo Hansen buck,, he is a dead duck.

About the only thing I have a strong desire to kill is coyotes. And that because they hurt the rest of the game so bad.
